Do you accept insurance?

Sherman Speech + Feeding Therapy is private pay only at this time and does not accept or bill insurance. HSA payments are accepted, and superbills can be provided upon request for families who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your insurance plan and is not guaranteed.
Does my child need an evaluation before starting therapy?
Evaluations are an important part of therapy. It helps identify your child’s strengths, areas of need, and appropriate therapy goals. If your child has had a recent evaluation, please share that information when reaching out.
How can I support my child's progress at home?
Small moments throughout the day can make a meaningful difference. Families receive practical suggestions for practicing skills during play, meals, reading, and other everyday routines.
How do we get started?
Send a message with your child’s age and a brief description of your concerns. From there, you can learn about availability, rates, and the recommended first appointment.
Do parents need to be involved during sessions?
Parent involvement is an important part of therapy, but what that looks like can vary by child. Some children do best with a parent participating, while others work more independently. I’ll talk with you about what will help your child feel comfortable and make progress, and I’ll keep you informed about what we’re working on.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions take place at Kristen's residence in Sherman, Texas.
Do we need a doctor's referral?
Families are welcome to reach out directly to ask questions or discuss services. Any paperwork needed before an appointment can be discussed during the scheduling process.
How long are evaluations and therapy sessions?
Evaluations can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 90 minutes or longer, depending on your child’s needs and the areas being assessed. Therapy sessions are available in 30-, 45-, and 60-minute options. The expected length of your child’s appointment will be discussed when scheduling.
